AVID 2016 |
Class of 2016 |
|
|
I joined AVID my junior year of high school. The reason I decided to join AVID was because I knew it would be a way to push myself. AVID has been a great journey, I've learn so much and made so many new friends. AVID is a great program that has gotten me out of my comfort zone. I would have never believed I would have been friends with some of the people in that class, but now they're not only friends, but family. We have got so close to each other that I don't know how high school would be without them. AVID has taught me how to prepare myself for college and to push myself to exceed in everything that I do. Now I challenge myself and know if I fail everything will be okay I just need to get back up and try again.

Being a part of my class help me with my communication skills towards other since I did have to interact with others. It also helped me create many memories with those who are in my class. I was able to be a part of building the float for homecoming both my junior and senior year. Also I help with so many fundraisers and other activities that have created memories for a live time.

I decide to play powder puff my junior year because I always loved the game of football and thought it would be a great experience. I was going to play my senior year but I ended up not playing because I wanted to focus more on my school work and wasn't to have time to make it to the practices and the game.

Leadership is a great class to be in because it helps increase your communication skills, it gets you involved school and helps your organization skills and most importantly it's a great way to try new things and make new friends!

Excursion Club |
Reap Foundation |
I joined the excursion club my junior year of high school because I knew I wanted to go to the east coast trip. I had the honor of going to the east coast trip the summer of 2015. I really enjoyed being over there since it was a new experience for me and I loved seeing everything since it was all new to me. I found an new love for a new environment that I will definitely go back to visit.

Being part of the REAP scholarship program has definitely change who I am throughout my high school experience since it was a challenge striving for all those level 4's. I did end up coming a little short to the requirement which disqualified me from receiving a scholarship but I loved being part of this program since it was a huge motivation and a rewarding process.

National Spanish Honors Society |
FBLA |
Being apart the National Spanish Honors Society has been a great opportunity since it is a national organization. I love it because it's a challenging club by having to maintain your grades up in order to stay enrolled in the club and graduate with the spanish honors cords.

Being apart with FBLA for the for the first time this year has made me regret not joining in the past years! I can say that this club has definitely prepared me for the future.
|
Drama Club |
ABC 30 News |
Being apart of the Spring musical for"Zombies from the Beyond" 2015 and "Symphony Jones" 2014 was such a privilege. Joining this at the beginning I'd never imagined how fun it would be; by yet, creating special bonds with the actors and set crew, staying up late for rehearsals, and the laughter is something that I will never forget.
|
I was part of ABC 30 News in order to promote our rivalry with Strathmore High for the bell. I was so much fun showing our cardinal pride to people throughout the central valley.
|
Daisy Chain |
Homecoming Queen Nominee |
Being apart of class 2015 graduation made me realize that my time has come, June 2016 is right around the corner. I am now officially a senior and next thing you know I'll be walking down the field receiving my diploma.

During homecoming week I was chosen to represent my AVID class as a homecoming candidate. I didn't come very far in the competition but it was a great experience and I had so much fun making memories with all the girls.
