It's crazy to think how fast time has gone by. After a long 3 years of waiting the day has finally arrived it’s our senior year! This is the year we’ve all been waiting for with anticipation. As our class begins the countdown for all the fun event senior year has to bring such as Prom, Grad Nite, and GRADUATION; I begin my senior year trying to get into the college of my dreams, Sacramento State. Well others focus on making this last year count I am focused on SAT dates, college applications, and scholarships.
My mission for my senior year is to give it everything that is left in me. This year I challenged myself by joining higher level classes that will make me stand out on my college applications. Those classes include AP Government, AP Spanish Language, and Trigonometry. One major decision that I’ve already had to make is the decision of dropping Trigonometry. I started off the year with Trig as one as my electives, later on I found out that it wasn’t for me and ended up dropping the class. In replacement to that I took on the challenge of tutoring AVID 10 which is already such a great opportunity. This has already benefited me by the fact that I will learn the skills need to teach a class which is great because at the end of the day that is one of my potential career options. A major goal that I have for myself this year is to apply to as many scholarships as possible and receive as many as I can. The reason being is because I don’t want to give my parents a hard time with the stressful process of college payment. I believe this goal will be achieved if I set my mind to it.
What I expect for the rest of my senior year is just to enjoy every moment and live it to the fullest. My plan is to take risk, put myself out there not caring what others might think about me but only to care about what make me happy. At the end of the day these are the most important four years of my life. This is the year that counts, the year that you will remember for the rest of your life and the fact that I get to share it and make memories with my Cardinal Family is like the icing on the cake!
